The new age lover
Invading each other's Snapchat
Making milestones out of moments
Fleeting dreams of lasting

Vintage soulmates
Finding pleasure in distance for the rare reunion
Sending letters worth a thousand pages
Our love is timeless, it never ages

Marketplace affection
Even our eyes didn't acquaint
Stranger claimed my home
Faded away and became my own

Daydream delusion
Existing but not, birthing confusion
Ruler of my mind, emperor of my thought
Yet, unknown to every other except my heart

I act like a forlorn traveller from a far off land
who belongs everywhere and nowhere.

I act like a child who
finds joy even in the littlest of things.

I act like a dancer who
forgot his steps.

I act like a singer with
a bad throat.

I act like a human
who enjoys simple pleasures.

I act free
the kind that people often associate with lunacy and question my sanity.

I act like myself.
A lone star burning bright in the sea of darkness.

Your blushes are the reason for my sweet tooth

Even your ghost of a smile sends me into a sugar rush

My breath hitches as I listen to your intoxicating laugh

The only kind of 'being lost' that I enjoy is .....
being lost in the universe of your eyes

The feeling overwhelms me

The electricity that sparks in my body
   when I hold your hand
     Goes straight to my heart
And explodes like fireworks inside my body

The 'oh so amazing' voice of yours
....which doesn't compare to the opera of Angels

Oh! And that scar....
The scar which is embedded like a trophy on your left arm
It is an evidence which showcases and reminds the world and me that you are still a human being

All your imperfections blended with your serenity presents the ultimate version of 'YOU'.

All the more reason to LOVE YOU

The eyes that watched people die
The bare arms that manned battleships
The legs that walked a thousand miles
The heart that beats with vigor for one

The face that launched a thousand ships

The mind that devises ten thousand plans
The wit that confuses men of fame
The sarcasm that drowns the pain
The fierceness that breaks the vibranium chain

The face that launched a thousand ships

A token for her name
A coupon for her fame
A word for her  pain
A comment for her gain

The face that launched a thousand ships

Killed her sanity
To salvage her dignity
Faked her content
Disguised her grunts

The face that launched a thousand ships

A dime for her thoughts made me the richest person in the world
A star for her accomplishments brought the universe to my abode
A ***** for her happiness, left me uninjured

The face that launched a thousand ships

Like a well oiled engine, my heart whirrs in pleasure at your sight
Found a biker boy and rode into the sunset

I'm a ship honey. Take me from my harbor
A sailor caught my helm and sailed into the horizon

Are you a black hole? Because you **** me in.
The physicist sat me on his lap and we got lost in space

Are you Messi ? Because I'm a Ballon d'or.
Shots were fired. Goals were scored. And they ruled the field together.

I have reached the top tier of Maslow's needs.
After extensive psychoanalysis, we found our counselors in each other.

If you're a rebuttal point, I'll always have you covered.
She and the debater found their grey patch amidst the black and white.

I'll make you a sandwich if you are male, white and a misogynist.
She found love with the racist and waited on him hand and foot.

I'll draw your heart with HB pencils and make an acrylic out of our relationship.
The artist found her bluetiful and incRedible.

I'm a South Indian who loves dosa, an uneducated Bihari, the patanjali promoting Hindu, the Muslim terrorist, the Christian converter, the Russian spy, the fake Chinese, the blond cheerleader, the ladyless female football player, the classy British, the poor illiterate, the fat American, the mannerless slum dweller, the conservative Indian woman, the dumb ****, the unromantic geek, the bald science teacher, the old librarian, the charisma less nerd......
Stereotype found it's soulmate and lived happily ever after.

I fall in love with words. Ink is my blood. Emotions and thoughts are my food.
The poet smirked and said," Haha! Nice try."
