Why Damon, why, why, why so pressing?
The Heart you beg's not worth possessing:
Each Look, each Word, each Smile's affected,
And inward Charms are quite neglected:
Then scorn her, scorn her, foolish Swain,
And sigh no more, no more in vain.

Beauty's worthless, fading, flying;
Who would for Trifles think of dying?
Who for a Face, a Shape, wou'd languish,
And tell the Brooks, and Groves his Anguish,
Till she, till she thinks fit to prize him,
And all, and all beside despise him?

Fix, fix your Thoughts on what's inviting,
On what will never bear the slighting:
Wit and Virtue claim your Duty,
They're much more worth that Gold and Beauty:
To them, to them, your Heart resign,
And you'll no more, no more repine.

I lie
I cheat
I steal

but what do I lie about
How do I cheat in life
And just what do I steal

lie about pain
cheat the system (better than you think I am)
steal everything I can
Set me free
Into thin air
Watch me soar
Without a care
When I’m ready
I’ll land on the ground
Safely into your arms
Right where I belong
Down in my sealed off heart
I build a fortress of many parts
With great gates and unbreachable walls
Tall towers and deep columned halls
Measure upon measure to ensure
My fragile heart might endure

I cannot hold you here.

I cannot hold you here
in this cage that I built around myself.

I cannot trap you in here with me.

This is my prison,
This is my torture chamber,
I cannot hold you here against your will,
I cannot keep inflicting pain on you like this.

I keep dragging you in,
locking the door,

"Stay with me, love,"

No.

I cannot keep doing this.

If I truly love you,
I need to learn to break out of this cage,
instead of locking you in with me.

I need to let you live your own life,
and stop trapping you in mine.

If I truly love you,
I must set us both free.
Some times I wish my word was as real as my dreams
That life was a little more vibrant and extraordinary then it seems
I would love to be that happy but I just don't have the means
But not only is life not wonderful, it blows my dreams to smithereens
