two
as palpable as emotion seems
outside my window, the darkness dreams
wondering who dare emit
words
then words again re-writ
found confidence, inspired soul
command, option, shift, control
When I first met you, I hated you. Something about you drove me crazy.
I guess I wasn't used to the challenge. Or maybe I had never met one of my own kind before.
Your soul is beautiful and dark. Mostly, it is powerful like raw energy. Like touching an electric fence. I couldn't help but be captivated.
The first time you kissed me I knew I wanted you. I knew you were the one that would change me. You opened me up and tore out my insides, leaving nothing but beautiful destruction.

it is late
i spill boiling water on these soft hands
because i need to feel something
hardly on purpose
but i want to write courageous words
bigger than myself
only to tear them apart
and scatter the pieces
in a nearby storm drain
I am free from chains
Wrought through pain and jealousy

I have found peace
and I will fly
in your room, your santuary,
open your laptop,
sit down, relax, let go of the burden you carry.
think of the good, the bad and the worst,
think of what helped you smile the most.
you still feel insecure and alone,
thinking about the past thats gone.
think of the future, the guilt and the pleasure,
weigh it out, see if your life is still a treasure.

by living we learn,
how much our souls can burn,
how much our hearts can mourn,
how much our minds can scourn.

but sometimes we have to let go,
believe that there can be something more,
believe in fate, time let it slow,
let our souls smile and let it glow.
& maybe i would really laugh. sigh hs!
My hands hunger,
Tired of holding themselves.
Of aching emptiness,
that permeates the metacarpals, the cuticles, and
especially the palms, where lines lie in wait
for another artist to trace them.
do troubled waters have a bridge that you can walk across
take your troubles with you and in the water toss
drown them in the river leave them far behind
bury them for good take them from your mind

can you start again on the otherside
do worries disappear as from your mind they slide
is there such a bridge that we can walk across
a river where your troubles cease and worries you can toss
