A wheel falls off a wagon,
Perhaps an *** has stubbed its toe.
For one reason and another
The band begins to slow,
Then stop.
Horses trot upon the spot.
They neigh,
Dismayed,
Shaking snow from off their mane.
While this driver softly curses,
Nurses a bottle to **** the pain.
I was a cat in my previous life
I used to jump on things
I had a master who picked me up
And through me to the other side
I was orange and white
And I lived with the Dunbar family
They used to play with me so rough
And the young kids thought they were tough
I was a cat a cute little cat
And I lived in Adelaide
I feel the father is picking me up
To put me on his lap
You see that is my story when I was young
It wasn’t me getting teased
It is the fact I have had interesting previous lives
You see I played with the other cats
And run away from dogs
Sit with the kids as we listened to the radio
and I played with them
You see each kid put their hands on my leg
And gave me a tickle
And after that I ate my fave food
A nice juicy pickle
When the mother cooked a meal with mince
I jumped up to take a sniff
And I sometimes grab a bit for myself
You see I was a playful little cat
In one of my previous lives
I am feeling it now
Because one of my owners might have died
What a ****** for them
But I was their cat
But now I am a man with commitments
Turning arrows into flowers
Morphing heartbreaks into superpowers
Changing losses into lessons
And bending betrayals into blessings
These are troubling times,
but when haven't they been?
war
conflict
the flesh being picked
from our bones

not much hope
when we are left to rot
when
those who have got
refuse to give

whatever happened to
live and let live?
I don’t stream a lot of TV
but once I’m in that mode, I’m down
and I can’t get up.

Best pickup line I heard this week:
“You could be my emergency contact.”

A girl recently called me “weird people.”
She was effusive and I was put in my place.
Apparently, good grammar isn’t legally enforceable.
Her friend apologized, saying—and wrote it down.
“She lives on her phone; it’s a claustrophobic place.”
“Ooo!” I’d said, "Can I use that?” She gave me a blank look.

Leong, lisa and I were walking to class when a lone goose flew over,
honking incessantly, like a New York taxi in heavy traffic.
“That must be a Canadian goose,” I said, because my uninformed comments seem forever welcome—and we are pretty far north.
“I know what it was saying,” Leong offered, in her most inscrutable Asian way. Lisa and I waited to hear some Chinese wisdom, but what she finally said was, “Where IS everyone? I knew I shouldn’t have stopped to ***.”

There’s a song that goes, “We got married in a fever.”
That line seems so point-on to me. That’s how it happens.
Not, “We got married with a prenup, hotter than a brussel sprout.”
My Grandmère told me Peter and I will need a prenup, if we ever…

BLT Merriam Webster word of the day challenge 04/02/25:
Effusive is expressing or showing a lot of emotion or enthusiasm.
Just thought of this freshly baked poem compiled by me😊👇

...When  Nero fiddled ... Rome burnt ....

When   DT meddled .... all global indices burnt ..

Bear **** the new flavour..
******* the old flavour ...

The Phoenix shall rise ...
The Phoenix shall rise ...

From the Ashes? Or from the Cashes?

Elementary My Dear ( Shylock ) .... I too shall extract my pound of Flesh 😊

Poetic Humour # Nitin
Some are most creative and beyond comprehension
For they are that talented
Some have that magic naturally
Some hoping to create and find their way
Their impact makes us better writers
You can agree to disagree
Just read and enjoy
The pleasure of reading and enjoying the talent is so much better
than the so -called talent we tune into to see
Not asking you to tune out but tune into what happens here
