The Jolteon Jan 2015
Invited to pick gold
Like flowers
Under burial mountains
Enlisted to pave the way
Of a rich white land
Track by track railroad Titans
Scorned off the land
Shot cut and excluded
Rebel against the worker
Yet he remains
Builds a family over generations
And prospers
Places like San Francisco
Home to sounds of Canton
Chinatowns blossom
During times of political strife
The Chinese laid down civil rights
Later to again be realized in the 60s
The Chinese fought for civil liberties
Against exclusions acts and hatred
To find a place in this new home
WWII more families allowed
Thus things began to further blossom
Painting the town you see now
Chinese Americans
Proud of history contribution and culture
Bringing art food and craft never seen
Adorn the streets for Chinese New Year
Kids excited to eat
Time to receive red envelopes
Knowing history small and large matters
Those born in America from Chinese descendants
Home is where the heart is

Luv
Love
Is
Blind

only because

Love
Is
Blinding

I must have leaded shoes
Gravity is turned up around me
I sink into the ground
When it's time to get out
I'm nowhere to be found

Going round for round
With the demons below
The heavy weight champ

On fire when I rise

It's perfectly okay
To
feel out of place
To
Want to change yourself
To
Feel alone
And be misjudged
To
Get your heart broken
And break someone else's
To
Have bad luck sometimes
But please don't
Act upon these feelings
In terrible way
Don't hurt yourself
Don't throw yourself away
And make mistakes you could've avoided
Always know someone cares
Even if you're sure that no one does
We can all relate, don't let these feelings get to you.

A mediocre mind
It does not exist
I dare you right now
To recreate this gift

An Oklahoma politician
wants to outlaw hoodies
in the hood

It's true, it must be
I read it in Fox News  :)

I'd sooner be in Missouri or Cleveland
or New York City where you don't have to
wear a hoody or raise your hands to get shot

There are other things more pressing
than hoodies in the hood
that don't need ironing

like hoods in suits
and the elephant in the room
that needs shooting.
