Life is like a photo.
Is it?
well at least that's what they say...
Well, if life were really like a photo
why do we spend all our time posing
for the camera?
Instead of capturing the moment,
why not be captured by the moment?
And if life was like a photo,
then why is everything standstill?
Pennies in a wishing well,

A shooting star that finally fell.

A dream among reality,

A God that you cannot see.

.. ..

A fat man down a chimney place,

A future soul mate without a face.

A fairy that grants your wish,

All hopes, in time, you relinquish.

.. ..

Pennies in water don’t make your dream,

Shooting stars aren’t as far as they seem.

Reality is harsh, dreams aren’t always led,

In religion you have no closure until your dead.

.. ..

Men don’t come to strange houses to bare gifts,

The one you “love” continually shifts.

Fairies aren’t real; you have to grant your own desires,

“Once Upon a Time” was fabricated by liars.

.. ..

Time is short and reality is cruel,

Live by story books and you’re a fool.

Believe your word and stand by your choices,

In this world we can be the prodigy or one of many voices.

.. ..

Keep your youth but don’t let it keep you,

It’s easier to wait for change than to follow through.

Love with no boundaries, live with no fear,

Maybe your true tale everyone will one day hear.
Late at night I watch her sleep
and listen to her breathe
the slow rise & fall of her chest -
eyes chasing R.E.M.'s in dreams.
The way her fist rests on her chin
like she was deep in thought
a statue with a heartbeat -
the one that can't be bought.

Sculpted by the hand of -
whatever God you choose
with her resting in my arms
there's no such thing as blues.
Only the bliss of knowing -
that she is only mine
the perfect living statue
made one of a kind.

There once was a land, some would call far
You can find it beneath the forty-eighth star
If you take a right turn at the end of the sky
And then follow the tears that a child has cried

Magic will find you, once you are there
It will come in the form of a blue dancing bear
From the curve of his nose, to the gait of his pose
To the belly that stops him from touching his toes
You’ll love this blue bear, wherever he goes

“Come and dance!” called the bear
From the gypsies green fire
“And we’ll whirl and we’ll twirl
‘round the cloud castle’s spire

You can stay there forever
Just you and the bear
And you’ll never be lonely
And you’ll never be scared
But know, as your dancing feet leave the ground
Once you’ve gone up
You can never come down
A life in the stars at the cloud castle’s fair
Spinning forever with the blue dancing bear
I wrote a poem
about my feelings for you,
words cannot describe.
Deep dark fantasy
Hidden in the closet
Of some imaginative mind.
Unknown to the harsh reality of the world
You hide in that tight room.
Something in your fairytale land
Makes everything smile.
Your land lifts souls
While my land kills the innocent.
Your world brings joy
And mine, destruction.
Fantasy dreams
Keep on dreaming
Do not fall to such a level
Of hate
Of regret
Of death.
Live on in your curious path
And help create a world
That I can escape to.
You have me smiling at the blowing wind
My moods are completely capricious; they depend on you
I'm starting to fall...
And keeping my feet planted is becoming more and more impossible
I'm in love with the idea of you.
I want every part of it
But I keep forgetting to account for reality
Your presence has kept me hazy, and spinning
Disoriented, confused,
But blissfully
       Ignorantly
              Stupidly
                     Happy
I don't think I'm ready to face the truth yet
I think I'll stay up in these dreams for awhile
I consciously choose to avoid sensibility
I want nothing of logic, or rational
I am content with my simple idea of what you are.

Oh yes I love her like Egyptian,
Want a description?
Let me clarify,
If she should die,
I’d be there for her in the afterlife.
Most men can’t fathom the love that we share.
So they clown actin’ like their lust can compare.
It’s ironic they hide behind the façade of a smile
While,
The ignorance of love’s the lonely walk of the Nile.
Even love lost is love had in the end,
Some get lost in the cost of the time that they spend…
You make me happier
With every passing day
I never thought it possible
But you’ve shown me the way.
We guided each other
To love and happiness
For you, I am truly thankful.
God has given me a love so true
Deep & pure
It could only be you
Now we can live happily ever after
Together as a family
Something I never before thought possible
But you’ve made so many dreams come true
And so many more have been realized.
I can never fully express
The love you’ve made me feel
Or the happiness you’ve given me.
Just know that it’s real
With every word I speak
Every breath I take
Every longing look
Every passing day
It grows deeper and stronger
Who knows what will come our way
But we’ll have each other
Together forever to stay
Put that chapter behind us.
Okay.
We'll write new stories.
Okay.
I love you.
I'm done this book.
