Golden lights in the window panes,
And in the lanterns on the street,
The sidewalks shine a mystic glow,
Lovely where strolling fairies meet

Not a venue for human eyes,
The fairies’ walk we’ll never see,
It exists in a far-off place,
It’s hidden well from you and me.

Small and pretty people,
Living in a long-lost land,
Elves and imps and gnomes,
Make up this merry band;

They are sharp and fast,
To find them you have to be,
Sharp and fast like them,
Otherwise they are hard to see.

I had a lovely dream last night,  
You came to me and called my name,  
But when I awoke this morning,  
Everything was sadly the same.  
So I shall pass today in haste,  
Waiting for night to quickly fall,  
And hope that I will dream again,  
And my name I will hear you call.

Humility and gentleness
Are often mistaken for weakness

It’s so simple to live happily,
To enjoy life, avoid misery,
Just follow the simple ways of life,
With understanding and empathy.
It’s not really very difficult,
Just leave your egoism behind.

Appearances in places of worship,
When thoughts and behavior differ in mind,
Recital of prayers are meaningless,
The deaf will easily befriend the blind.

We are stuck on this planet,
Thanks to a giant magnet,
Like pins in a voodoo doll,
So none of us can fall.

Should the gravity pull be lost,
We will face the maximum cost,
We will be unstuck and float away,
Like floatsam in less than a day.

In every direction towards endless space,
And disappear forever without a trace.

Winging into the sunset sky,
Into the clouds above the sea,
To a distant island somewhere,
The birds know where they have to be.

A daily sunset instinct flight,
In flocks of twelve or more,
The next day they will be back,
To their home on Malaccan shore.

When slaves were bought, exchanged and sold,
Today the world retains its deadly game,
The violence, evil and wars are still the same.

He started work as the hotel's security guard,
On his second day of work, he was making his rounds,
It was about eleven at night when it happened
while he was outside calmly checking the hotel grounds.

As he walked down the driveway to the hotel's car park,
He saw a small boy sitting by the side of the road,
The boy was ***** and had his back turned towards him
crying away as if weighed down with a heavy load.

So the guard went up close to the boy to check on him,
And he was terrified when the boy turned back to look,
For the lad's face was distorted with a ghoulish smile
with fresh blood streaming all over like a nightmare's *****.

The guard turned white and scrambled back into the hotel,
Trembling with fear, totally scared and fully shaken,
He filled in his daily report with unsteady hands,
and early next day he sent in his resignation.

Starting a lie is easy,
Defending it is difficult,
Convincing it is impossible.
So better stick to the truth for always

Slowly, slowly the seeds of discontent we sow
More and more daily we make them grow
Till we have the Tree of Hatred in the final show

Shooting arrows goodness-filled
Into evil hearts of man
World becomes a paradise

Strong waves reach the shore
Retreat to return once more
Fierce undercurrent

Difficult to erase them

Two flies were sitting together,
And one was smacked right on the head,
The other one did fly away.

‘tis the wondrous gift of youth,
Innocence with which they’re blessed

we can enjoy it many minutes more
before mosaic waves of brilliant colours
descend upon the evening sky for sure

Lovers in the garden one summer’s night,
Were smitten speechless by an awesome sight,
Everything was bathed in a light of love,
The full moon smiling distantly above,
Letting their imagination run free,
They saw fairies beneath a sleeping tree,
Serenity simmering all around,
A lovely moonlight garden they had found.

Not so wonderful the world today ,
For madness has surely come to stay,
Goodness no longer is in the store,
Evil slowly kicked it out the door;
Intelligence seems so hard to find,
Stupidity always close behind,
World wars linger always on the brink,
Closer than what we would want to think;
No matter what all religions teach,
Love and Peace are always out of reach.

I thought of you one dark and moonless night,
Beneath our lone star glinting so bright,

My thoughts drifted back to the days of old,
When we cuddled beneath the stars so cold,

We had dreams that we never really shared,
Living apart we seldom showed we cared,

And now your cancer has snatched you away,
Only bittersweet memories will stay,

On the fourteenth month of the year,
This is not on your calendar,
You won’t know if it’s far or near.
The fairies’ world is next to us,
Invisible, unseen, unheard,
Their celebrations are all there,
But humans will not be disturbed.

Let’s take a stroll along the seaside,
And leave our footprints in the sand,
Watch the beauty of the setting sun,
In the distance where the sea does end

We can enjoy the screeching seagulls,
Winging swiftly in the evening sky,
Let’s stroll along the lovely seaside,
Lightly holding hands - just you and I

Sun has still not woken up
Snooze a little more

Looking upwards towards the heavens,
Hoping to see a shooting star,
Nostalgic moments flashed across my mind,
Of you who were living away so far;

We had moments once upon a time,
And many stars we shared together,
Till our destinies decided otherwise,
And then -
you were gone forever.

Softly glowing in dark of night,
Gently charming with soothing light,
Magic is there so feel it well,
When moonlight casts its witching spell.

She was hurt, very, very hurt,
but she kept it all inside herself,
looking at her, one could never tell,
unless one manages to see,
those silent teardrops that fell

For she was good at disguising,
keeping all her emotions hidden,
and all the sadness within,
for weeks and months and years,
until she finally passed away,
finally freed of all her fears

And still, looking at her,
one could never tell, all the,
suffering that she had had,
she had not even one close friend,
that she could confide in,
while that tiny smile of loneliness,
she carried till the very end

By the banyan trees late at night,
Come with me for a moonlight walk,
To a secret flowered garden,
Where night owls do their midnight talk;

I’ll take you to a sacred place,
Wherein a nightingale was born,
And keeping our voices down,
We’ll hear his lovely evening song;

There by silver-watered fountains,
Enclosed by purple-white daisies,
On special nights when stars are bright,
We can see the moonlight fairies.

The night dream will begin as one,  
To cast its net over my mind,
The shapeless shadows have their fun,  
To fish my thoughts to join their kind;  
These clueless inconsistent waves,  
Will merge and morph with all their might,  
Till daylight brings its dashing rays,  
And day dream shines its dauntless light.

He is really very fast
With his fingers, hands, and feet
He practises martial arts
And he's really hard to beat
He's in the gym for hours
And never misses a day
For it is his daily dream
To follow the champion's way

The laughter, smiles, are all gone,
No exit, from dusk till dawn,
Rainstorms, mist, fog, fill the mind,
Clear skies, flowers, left behind,
The slide into depression,
Logic into regression,
Mental state wavers in gloom,
Brink of destruction and doom.

In life we weave through forests dark,
We blunder through mazes blind,
Stumbling through blackness for the Light,
That we hope one day we’ll find.

The dark is bathed in a light so pale,
As moonlight spreads its glowing veil,
Like a bride's silk-covered face,
Tempting with a sensuous trace,
Lights of beauty are dotted here and there,
While unsung music hangs in the air,
Somewhere lovers stroll with expectancy,
As they enjoy their moonlight fantasy.

Everyone has secrets to hide,
Their real feelings they dare not show,
Which often lead to misunderstandings,
And sometimes a deadly blow.

Wars will never end,
Mistrust reigns everywhere,
Simple folks just die.

I will travel the paths alone,
Further, far away from home,
To quench a thirst quite unknown,
Searching for answers beyond,  
I will face the storms and tides,
Of this earthly life alone,
For no one can understand,
What my destiny has sown.
