He was swept out to sea and lost to the treacherous waves
His head broke water once or twice but he couldn't be saved
God did smite him to spite him for all  the love that he gave
And he looked up to heaven and he forgave
As he washed away there was no earthly thing that he craved
For what good does it do to curse
When disaster strikes you while you're at your worst
And you are stuck wishing the waves had taken you first
And dragged you out forever to sea
He found himself unable to break through the current, so he ceased to be
His forlorn lover waited like a stone upon the beach
To catch just a glimpse of the man she could no longer see
A man who had taught her what it was to be free
Now is it fair that he had to go?
Is it right that nobody knows
Where his soul went after his body went down below
Dragged out into eternity by the undertow
So she sits and waits for his return
Though it was long ago that his fate was learned
Because still her body yearned
For his seasick touch, caring and concerned
Then one day she finally broke down
As the waves receded and there in the sound
She found his body drowned
And his soul was no where in sight
The whole time he had watched her on that beach
Forever waiting and wanting but out of reach
"I'll be here waiting forever" he silently screamed
Just waiting for her to cease to be
And as she walked out in the waves
She looked to the sky to not be saved
And at that point she was filled with dismay
She didn't know if she'd find him there
At the end the air burst from her lungs
The ******* sound of the sea made her undone
And they were reunited as one
Two souls lost forever at sea
There was such beauty in her death
Her fearless attempt to reach across the stretch
of desolate darkness past the confines of the flesh
Just to find that she would be with her lover yet
Under the waves forever
Inspired by Shelley's quote IF WINTER IS AT HAND CAN SPRING BE FAR BEHIND? I ended the poem on a positive note....

Always complaining of life...
I did not have the zeal to strife...
Lies, betrayal and heart breaks killed me from inside...
But still I had put up a smile on the outside..
Tired I was facing the world's mockery...
All I had witnessed was only treachery...

Life was a game which I couldn't play well...
And from the mountains of ecstasy to paroxysm of sobs I fell...
There were umpteen questions in my mind...
The answers to which i never could find...

WHY did every happiness come drenched with sorrow??
When we never had another heart to borrow..
Many times I wished to die...
When the heart inside did cry..

WHY did relationships end....??
And everytime to the FATE we had to surrend.
Shattered were those sweet dreams..
And all I could hear were screams..

The sweet memories of childhood I missed...
When mother's kiss was a moment of bliss...
With the advent of time, things changed...
And everything around seemed to be more strange..

The excruciating pain I just couldn't bear
And always thought that life wasn't fair.
Why did people break the trust?
When the heart of theirs was itself but a carnival of rust..

There is no point in being sad..
When we know that sometimes life can prove to be bad...
The relentless march of Time is inevitable..
And there comes a day when happiness is totally unmatchable...

The stories of the past are inexplicable..
And there are very few who are dependable..
There are very few whom we treasure..
Just because their mere presence brings pleasure..

I don't recall where in the bible it says
Love thy neighbor, unless they are...
or
Do unto others as you would have them
do unto you, unless...

Of course, if you're quoting bible verse
or any form of religious doctrine
you're in a lot of trouble anyway!
These words tend to contradict themselves.

That, and you're quoting a book,
not your soul.
Maybe some of your soul
is in those sacred pages,
but definitely not all.
And why are you scouring books
trying to learn how to live your life?

The answers aren't in there anyway,
at least not whole ones.

The answers are in you!
God is you! You are god!
You are created from particles that inhabit the universe!
You are the universe!
YOU ARE NATURE!
YOU ARE ALL!

All the answers are in you,
just have to know where to look.
Just have to remember,
just have to remember
just have to remember...

just have to remember
we are god, the universal ONE
creators of our own habitats
& sustaining celestial universes of friends and family.
Like the universal ONE
we make and create life
from ****** cosmic big bang howls hurling white rock into feminine space only for a star child to be born over time.
Billions of lives reside & crawl within skin walls, cavernous intestines & ride on vein roads controlled by the omnipotent electrical awareness called the ONE brain & son mind.

Each new friendship & connection is its own universe and some expand too quickly fizzling out with a deflated echo of "It's not you, it's me," and returned DVD's
while others cultivate and grow gradually sustaining a millenia lifetime of cafune, pumpkin pancakes in bed, Facebook photos and winks.

We are the ONE where all the answers reside,
just need to have the heart to look inside
to find your higher calling is to honor thyself
as you would the univer-SOUL ONE.
She sends me the most beautiful letters

In hallmark cards with pictures of flowers

Showing up when I least expect

Showing up when I'm a man in need

Pastel hues, the colors she favors

Soft crimson blues above all the others

A faint hint of Arabian jasmine

Pulls deep at the passion in me

Holds me close like a Bilie Holiday album

Gives all she has like a solider undaunted

My love for her is all that I'm left with

Captivating the soul inside of me
restless, the echoes have flown
beneath a poem's mortal remains;
like desperate ecstasy dancing loose,
their words feast on familiar nightmares

passing tongues painting ecstasy
on the mirrors I fear,
forging storms of **** mermaids and pearls,
or short-haired girls who charged the sky
for a time blossoming orange or lime,
shunning rhymes but still...
sang syllables as heartbeats,
swaying like ripe summer wheat
in time with a young life's breezes

none of which could have been real
a singular eye peering back
from a black and white, whiskey blind
... not mine...
his, the mind of a stranger who stole a name
and tomorrow more the same,
soon forgotten, but by then sober

grizzle
what has been heard
never been seen
it slowly fades
into the dark black mist
my eyes were blinded
with kisses and roses
that you gave me
birds was silently crying
asking for an escape
from the dark black mist
my soul slowly rot
crumbling like pastries
have never felt something so painful
neck was choked; felt like drowning
feed me with love
and kiss me with atmosphere
so i shall be saved
from the dark black mist
hands were as cold as ice
lips was as white as snow
shaking, breaking
confused, paralyzed
by its darkness
get me out, save me now
from the dark black mist
