Love thy neighbour as you love thyself
I am thy neighbour, but you do not love me.

When "our way of life" is not really 'we' but your perception  of who I should be.

We are family.
Until we disagree.

On the treatment of those who identify as LGBT-
Q - for Queer
Something you claim to fear
Yet
Something you love to leer at
privately

Must our realities be the same,
Must our differences cause me pain
Must you hurt us, condemn us, curse us and shame

How powerless you must feel
To attempt to halt a love so real
We will not let you steal
The beauty; the life that makes us surreal

We will continue to love
We will continue to laugh
We will continue to live
WHOLE.
You cannot break us in half

I am your friend
Even when you're not mine
This hatred will end
And one day we will all shine

Don’t write about the dark things they said

Don’t hide from the truth I replied

Well, part of the truth anyway

Which, any which way you look at it has two sides

A sun which hides its shadow

But even the sun must sleep sometimes

Then creeps and slides the oozy woozy darkness

Of drunks and floozies and drug addicts

Thugs and gangsters, hatchet men and fixers

These nefarious predators and scavengers of the night

Shuttered sight eating victims of urban decay

Never sated in their bloodlust and greed

That need that is so deep

You could feed it without sleep

Forever and never fill it up

This is reality in our **** city

Where effluent flows down footpaths between bars

Climbs out of cars in high heels or collared shirts

“Sorry mate, not in those shoes"

Drunken harlots beckon rapists and sadists

Transfixed in the ever-pressing lusts of the flesh

Without joy or connection

Or even satisfaction, most of the time

Am I right? Ladies, am I right?

Another wine to fill the soul’s great hole

Another devastating moment when the sun gets in

To find you weeping in your make up

Black streaks down cheeks of bloodless faces

All because nobody told you what was possible

They simply told you what not to do

Which of course you did anyway

Over and over again with the same results

That part isn’t your fault, it’s society’s

It’s religion and propriety’s

It’s dogma and denial’s

The cultural hangover of the morning after the decades before

The holier-than-thou edicts of our preachers and teachers

And leaders without leadership

We’ve cut the slip

Caught the rip

Been flipped so many times we can hardly tell what is useful anymore

The answers you seek are inside yourself

It’s like Rafiki said: “Look harder"

It’s like Sigmund said: “Unexpressed emotions will never die.

They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways.”

Our society reflects repressed attitudes to ***

And brings them forth in uglier ways

Like rapes and splays of legs to the most persistent bidder

Soulless sexuality

Stuffing ya pork sword into a drunken receptacle

Such a spectacle

You might swap names in the morning

It’s *** on a tray like a TV dinner

Forget the word “sinner"

It’s the lack of nutritional content that ills

That kills the real deal for these counterfeit thrills

This isn’t some moral crusade

There’s no need to drink the kool-aid

Throw out the gimmicks

But pay attention to the limericks

Be open, be honest

Be Eros, be Adonis

Be Venus, in furs / **** resplendence

Take lovers my dear

Make love and not fear

Turn empty lust in transcendence

A Poem: Revolution Africa*

All hail the Lion King
King Flair Simasiku
A certified change agent
You seem calm, cool and collected
How did you overcome fear
Dining with the king of the jungle
You even spoke their language
When you say "Roar", they roar
When you say "Walk", they walk

Where is Rafiki?
Did he give you the pass code
How did you surmount the insurmountable
"This is not a small something oh"
Success is not for Lilly hearts
But brave heart like you
They said real shekels lays in their mouth
Can you help demystify this mystery?

Tell me King Simasiku
How did you overcome your fears?
How did you win their hearts?
Was Rafiki instrumental
For he is the mouthpiece of the gods
He is the most popular Monkey on earth
Plesse say a word for us

Tell us King of the Jungle
How can we posses a Lion heart
When our leaders coveted the Lion share
They **** our national assets with impunity
Tell me King Simasiku
How do we blaze the trail
Just like you did
The whole world will hear your name
Be kind, take us to your Kingdom
Far away in Namibia
From you, we seek true knowledge

You inspire us King Simasiku
We are a people suffering and smiling
But if you teach us your ways
That we might be bold as a Lion
Then we can face our fears
And make 2020 count
Just like the Eagle Fola
She already raised the bar
And you, you killed it with this exposure

Brace up for impact
This is no PowerPoint
This is no Photoshop
Not even paint or corel draw
This is reality, get close at your peril
The morale behind this
Face your fears or die trying
Even if you perish
The world will remember you
Do it not for yourself
But for your Simba
That they may enjoy tomorrow

There are Scars lurking around
But we will always run to Rafiki
The just and Only Wise One
We refuse to be manipulated
And flee to return like Simba
We will fight for the glory of Africa
And chase every Mufasa out
Wake up Africa!
The hour to liberate her has come
Just say the word my King
And we will follow
Revolution Africa!

A CRY FROM RAFIKI.

Far away from the circle of oxygen,
In a land filled with dry bones,
Where elements of the earth were absent even nitrogen,
Where darkness is the King and silence the cornerstone.

A land of invisible creatures,
Death starring scarily at me like an owl,
I was like a blind bat to their culture,
I became as little as an aul.

Creatures with faces of a vulture and the strength of an eagle,
Who's sinew is from darkness,
As weak as an ant before a beagle,
I was hurt, bruised and made powerless.

Like a man fighting a lion with bare hands,
I fought, but the invisible and the visible operates on different backgrounds,
Overpowered by their powerful wand,
Under their voice I have no sound.

Out of my depravity and captivity,
Out of the deepest sea of darkness,
Out of the dragons bucal cavity,
I cried my heart out in my distress.

My voice was turned to smoke,
I could be seen uttering words but nothing was heard,
I kept crying and trying to swim out with all strokes,
Personal efforts were all deterred.

Immorality almost choking me to death,
I couldn't control the power that engulfed me,
The pool of tears soak my heart with depression,
Who would hear a cry from Rafikis dungeon?

Life is school, this is silly.
I was always excited for recess,
Born to be Wild like homeboy Free *****
Dustin checked in to eventually check out.
He knew there was so much more that our existence was about.
Went into the wild under the guidance of Rafiki

Nemo found himself at Free Thought Academy

Lion King was seen  weeping only tears of joy
At first roar of his cub, darling baby boy
He knew to nourish this being's mind, body, and soul.  So he gained deep wisdom in the art of breath control.  After this recognition, he taught his practice for free.  Nowadays everything is fluid and the kingdom thrives with ease.

Lonely island
nyant Mar 2018
Well it's pretty cold over here,
my doubt makes it difficult to draw near,
revelling in the *** of the ruminate that I retch,
wondering why I want to stay a wretch,
heeding fables,
constantly unstable in many ways,
as I mule and bray away my days,
wasting time looking for a needle in the hay,
worried about wheat and chaff,
never about the rod and staff,
forgetting what the Miller said,
the ball is in your court,
stick to your field old sport.

I dined the dark with the swine,
as we crafted the mud and mocked the divine,
on lonely island we speak of filthy things,
the kind that should be kept private,
like pirates out for innocence,
we burn our idle incense,
looking for a pharaoh to harrow,
any Jack or sparrow,
hovering to find any hose here,
little loose rats into the water with the Pied Piper,
we **** the fishmonger with fear,
he was meant to guard his stock,
we bribe the shepherd as if he never heard,
meant to guard his flock,
he probably never cared.

Casting out our cunning lines,
telling them to enter in,
but never through the gate,
hoping they'll take the bait,
carrot and stick,
on to the slave ship,
men of clouded Eris,
forever luring sinbad.

Timon and Pumba said hakuna matata,
that option was to obvious for my ominous oblanganta,
the rooster crows when it sees the raven,
but we forget our roles when we're in a haven,
rafiki said look beyond what you see,
but I was in the desert and the thirst was real,
you could say that I was in my feels,
I chased the mirage,
missed the ever open oasis,
still thirsty,
it didn't lust.
listening to my logic,
ate the food on the palace plate,
who can relate?

My spider senses were webbed by the sandman as I drilled for digital  dopamine to derail my depression,
dusty roads laid in the distance as my discernment was damaged.
Now I'm afraid to have a dialogue because I'm no longer used to analogue,
fight fleeting.

I'm fed up of spinning in cycles,
gotta check my psyche like Nike,
can't bet on chance,
I need discipline unlike Mike.

Do you want more?
I scream encore,
wondering why I've become so numb,
why I've lost control,
walking the isle of isolation,
hiding from the groom,
even after all the light,
all I saw was gloom,
tossed by the wind and waves,
I hide in the bush from Ned like Homer,
I could make a joke of this quagmire,
but I really feel like Gomer.
Sometimes you have to leave the cast if you feel like you'll remain half the man.

With all my getting I never understand,
I just peter in the storm,
hoping He will stretch out His mighty hand.
