"According to the doctor, I'm going to lose my hair," he said.
I waited for his sarcastic laugh.
It didn't come.

Sitting
Cuddling
Our arms intertwined.
I can feel your cheek against mine
and it's the softest thing my skin has ever felt.
Our closeness brings the thought of a kiss
but I wish not to ruin the moment.
Instead, I simply pull you closer,
and to me,
this is better than any kiss could be.

The best gifts are rarely physically given to one another,
for the most part they are simply memories,
but one of the best physical gifts one can give
is simply a handwritten note.
This isn't a poem.
It is just lines (as most of the things I write are).

Do you really love your life?
Enough that you would do everything up to this point the exact same way, if given the chance?
Do you love where you are right now?
If you don't,
why haven't you changed your location?

I love this photo,
not because of how I look
or how it looks,
but because of everything it represents
and because of us.

step one,
come to bed.
two,
tuck me in
three,
crawl in next to me
four,
we kiss
five,
sleep.
blissful sleep.
six,
i wake up in sadness. i cling to you.
you stay. and hold me. and promise to never leave.
seven,
it's morning.
you're still here.
eight,
you're here. you're still here. you'll never leave. you'll always be here.

us
the smell of you
the warmth of your skin
these feelings within..

it builds.
the happiness,
the love...
it leaves me smiling
as laughter bubbles from the heart

your warmth,
your touch,
it all leaves me wanting..
wanting more...
more of you,
more of us,
more of this time together
