it's our job to question
anything and everything
that anyone tells you
to assume lies
and prove truths
to ourselves
and attempt
to show the world
it's time to listen
it's time to speak
it's time to be heard
are you part of the masses
or are you apart from the herd
Don't buy what they sell
it has communist ties
they're selling ideas
that human nature can't comply
the devil tells a thousand truths
to sell a single lie
prepare for imperfection
to err is to be human
to be human is to err
another way could not compare
Don’t breathe too hard,
the air might infect
your numbed gaping mouth,
sneak in some fleshy cavity
and die,
the stink emitting deathly bile
that seeps through gauze,
onto tongue,
down throat,
tormenting tastebuds,
filling cheeks with sick rot
until some frightening tool,
some cold industrial instrument,
comes along to rip
the defective suture from your gums,
relieving your jaw of its ache,
your mouth of its stench.
And blood—
sweet warm living blood—
replaces vile secretion,
and the crusted yellow stitch
lies there alone on a steel table.
In case anyone's wondering, dry socket is probably the least pleasant experience to ever exist.
A transformation has taken place
Constant transformations
Changes
It can happen from one day to the next
Changes of the heart
Changes of ideals
Changes that create new directions to follow
Leaving past destinations as visited terrain
Some visits of beauty and relaxation
Some visits of tragedies and turmoil
Stopping in
Trying not to get ****** in
Making it out to find a new place
Places to rest
Places to reflect
New destinations
New perceptions
Changes bringing about such depths
To explore
To venture and get lost into
Changes!
Changes that bring smiles
Huge grinning smiles
Bringing life to a heart that was at the brink of death
Revived
Survived
Transformed
This heart is reborn!!
Words that balance
Words of fairness
Truthfulness
Words as powerful as the thought
Thoughts holding even a greater strength
For it’s the thought that drives the words we speak
It’s the words we speak that can make a person weak
Weak in the heart from words that can tear us apart
Weak in the arms and knees from the words that make the heart pulsate so fast and hard we take a deep breath…..
Just to continue...to hold on
Because the words say…”You mean everything to me...you are my world.”
Words
Words
These pages continue to be fed with words
To let the words breathe
Breathe to give life
Breathe just to die
Line after line
Words of truth
Words that aren’t always so fair
Life isn’t fair
Love isn’t fair
But the words…
They balance
They balance the thoughts
The thoughts holding the strength in every word we speak
Touch me,
it doesn't matter where
and it doesnt matter how
I need to know I'm still alive
so someone touch me now
Shake my hand and say hello
or pat me on the back
kiss me on the cheek
that I may feel this sense I lack
slap my face and pull my hair
make me bleed I just don't care
dig your nails into my skin
so I can feed this need within
I've been numb for such a time
that even pain would be sublime
so touch me, touch me now
I don't care where, I don't care how

There has to be a better reason
to face each day buzz-less smoke-less sober
than simply not wanting to hurt her.
She tells me I'm a gutless feckless ******,
and if I'm not careful, wifeless,
which reiterates my point.
