Thank you.
Ralph w Huber Apr 2017
When I cry you're my pill.
When I shake you're My still.
In your  grasp I find the will
To lace  my shoes and climb the hill.

Can you see?
Ralph w Huber Apr 2017
Tell me, can you see?
There are frail eyes peeking through the words that you read.
Catching glimpses of you catching glimpses of me together we walk through the words that you read.
For a moment we are in love.
Hand-in-hand face-to-face  our romance begins.  Both  knowing  we must walk alone come each poems end.

Switched
Ralph w Huber Apr 2017
She carries her burdens across the back of a child.
Rightfully hers to bear but her mind has gone wild.
Scarred  grows his mind afraid of life so uncertain.
But she couldn't switch the soul of the carrier of her burden.
A switch is a limb pulled from a tree

Fleeting Shadows
Ralph w Huber Apr 2017
Sometimes I catch glimpses of tiny faces with hollow eyes that I can't see.
Passing at a distance through a nightmare as I sleep.
Their fleeting shadows draw me with them, to a place where lost tears weep,
for the forgotten souls of the missing children for whom desperate parents will always seek.
