Alone

Today the kids told me
That I would die lonely
When I told them I liked being alone,
They laughed at me
"Die alone, die alone."

Gods
Goddesses

( nothing less )

••

We were married in Brooklyn
We are holy

••

We ride the el -train dawn til dawn

We put stars in the sky so we can see

The young lovers on the roof tops cryin

So many poets there

You can't tell them from the beggars
You can't tell them from the saints

••

I hold reality in my hand

If there's a god it's still okay

••

I seen this girl legs spread open

Lying in the brazen streets

So many men came by and ****** her
Til she was dead

••

Everybody doin somethin

Anything just to get paid

Little child it's still holy

Only holy

Forever holy

Little lovely child so holy

Come and ride awhile with me

she sings like flowers
crawling upstream
sweet, headlit
lines exscoriate out
side the hillsides
play usual patterns.
crawling dust
fronts, measurement
in depths.

i'd rather sleep. least
i might see you.

a hotel away, i'd
be quiet. small
matter. mostly
yours.

concrete carves side
walks out, lifts life,
runs fingers through
morning fog. breaks.

The little red car bobbing down the lane
Zipping thru the countryside
Waiting at the lights
Parking up between the lines
Is so much more than a little red car

With sympathetic hands she mends the wounded
Sends them on their way
Fights her corner with the managers in their pointy shoes
Lends a sympathetic ear
Saves lives

Makes her way back to the little red car
Thinks about her day, her family
Passing green hedges
Noticing the sunset
Looks forward to a cup of tea
As the little red car bobs back down the lane

Wags from the dog
Jen's home

Yes, the air is electric.
There is wind and there is rain,
But the rain is gentle, like an outdoor shower
on a tropical island,
And the wind is reviving, it caresses the skin,
Awakes, restores, renews.
Do not run for shelter
or cower inside
Awaiting the return of comfortable and calm.
Look up, embrace the cloudbursts,
Feel it, feel everything, take it, drink it in.
Find me.
I am waiting for you,
Laughing, dancing, underneath the trees.
I want to share the opening skies.
We have both been waiting
And this is not a storm.

Your grammatical prowese is a wonderful thing, the way you look down on those beneath
Sad to say for you It's to late as the **** party no lomger exists!
They can't all be as perfect as you
And for that I'm as happy as a fool!
This is a delightful piece of "***" Crafted carefully and with care for one individual.

a moment refines
least of all i, coarse
subdivision of all
second skies, stars,
or nothing, minute
from fall. or fallen
already. asleep for
hours. hope coiled
helplessness around
her wrist, caught my
head. spent days in
space. at least, most
of them. can't help
subduction any same,
another algebra in
stone. collapse like
month's passage. hope
won't speak, every
theory is glowing. a
year dissolves empty,
replacing every field
with stripmalls to
mountains again. a
century forgets regicide.

an eternity later, we
press against the wall
like dust coalescing.
hope strings us up,
couple more
embers in the sky.
some instantaneous forever ago, i fell

My number one list.
The things I have to do.
(Survival depends)
Breathe, Eat, Sleep. etc

My number two list.
The things I need to do.
(To maintain number one list)
Work, Cook, Clean. etc

My number three list.
The things I would like to do.
(Possible not probable, if any money left from list two having satisfied list one).
Visit Vietnam, Hold an anonymous party, Do good things.

My number four list.
(Improbable yet much desirable, things be it material or of fantasy that make the other lists bearable)
Have a goth ****** and make love to me.

OK its a short list. Is yours?
