I want to grow a garden
of blue, white, and gray
with butterflies and swollen eyes
that compliment a worried, aching disguise
painting on a canvas of
milk white flesh
to cover up bruises on my wrists
and hide my sunken purple bones
I bet i'll regret this when i'm alone
I want to grow a garden
of blue, white, and gray
so I can still watch you grow
when you've gone away
