It was slowly growing darker; the rain, more intense.
The sole idea of that distant cabin kept me going
as I traversed this wonderful jungle of a thicket
in awe of the sunset
so well juxtaposed by the downpour.

By now, the canopy was luminescent
with colors of dusk,
and I was hypnotized
by the sounds and smells
of this unusual deluge.
