Hope
On the wings of a golden bird
Stretched across the winds of the world
Far above a silent sea
Lives my hope, of you loving me
As a twinkle of a panther's eye
In a sliver of a rainbow high
On a ripple of a lazy cloud
Breathes a chance, of you missing me
As a drop slipping down a leaf
Into earth's ever parched embrace
Scarred by loss and grief
I dream of touching your face
As a river unhindered blows
Its banks apart, its floor aggrieved
Aloud she rumbles and roars
But as always, she seeks the sea
