I'll be with you all night because I know you're not asleep,
and even when you shut your eyes
I'll whisper in your dreams.

A pillow will not stop me
I'm right next to your ear
and under all those blankets you are
cowering in fear.

Midnight is now upon us
and there's nothing you can do.
Now I'm getting closer
lying here right next to you.

I see that you've stopped breathing
(well that's not very nice)
your body has stopped moving,
it feels as cold as ice.

"Why can't anyone hear you? Is it only me?"

Well my dear, I am not sure.
It's a possibility.

"Am I going to die here? Alone and in my bed?"

Quite frankly, darling, no you won't. It's all inside your head.
dedicated to a novella i once read.
