My knees shake and my legs threaten to give out from under me.
My face burns as I remember the gentle words you spoke to me.
You're oblivious, and it won't ever be the same.
It was a dream.
A dream that ended so fast.
I woke up with tears of regret,
with a sudden realization.
Fairy tales don't exist.
And I should have known that.
