In dreams my thoughts smash into smithereens
My screams go unheard
My esteem is bolstered by amphetamines
I stand on ravines, their edge inviting me to jump
To float in a downward spiral
To ignore regimes, to ignore the screams
Those screams are mine, rent from my throat
Extremes so normal that nothing is as it seems
Alice went down a hole, I am not whole
I try to redeem in dreams, but dreams
Always are the extremes
