I’ve stopped asking why
Now all I want is to forget
Forget that you existed
Forget you were my light

Forget that you were the reason
Why smiles weren’t out of season
Why I laughed and giggled
because of those petty lines

I want to bury
Those memories of you
When we stared at each other
Like my eyes were glued

Make me forget
That we shared so much
words, embraces
and those wonderful kisses

let me throw away
my deepest desires
of loving and being loved
the same way I deserve

let me believe
that you’re nothing but
a stranger to me
never the what used-to-be

let me forget
like how you’ve forgotten
that I was ignored
that I was destroyed

Let me stop wondering
How it was so easy
To let me sink
Like a stone into deep water

Let me rise again
Like less density
And can you just be
Nothing but a nobody?
