The nights that keep me awake,
In dreams where we meet and simply are
But at the dawn of a new day,
A new phase that’s old
It shows me the truth:
That you are far.

I wonder;
Why didn’t the creator build a portal,
Where a single word could summon you to me?

Then, every time,
I’d wear you around my neck like a charm,
And the world would work properly for me
Because you’d be around.
In my mind,
You’re the captain of this ship.
You help navigate every direction.
What an empty soul I’d be without you

You are the fire that fuels me.
In you, I see life.
And in my dreams, I only dream of you.
A nightmare?
That’s not part of my story.

In silence, I envision a future
And on every page of that future,
Your name is written.
You have a voice that heals,
A smile so special,
That only you carry.

Where are you really from?
Are you the special one made
In a land of myths,
Where truths are often ignored?

You’re the one thing I found truth in.
There is no hell in your reality
And even if it existed,
I could endure it because of you.

You’re my dream,
The one I never wish to wake from,
But live in.
You’re my life
The one I don’t wish to die from,
But explore forever.

You’re my desire,
The one I find pleasure in,
And never want to stop seeking.

You’re my destiny,
The one I don’t fully know yet,
But in you, it’s already written.

Hope, above all
You are my everything.
And nothing can defeat you.
This poem is dedicated to those whom their lovers are distanced by circumstance but wish to be closer at the same time.
