Close your eyes,
And just let go.
I cannot take this anymore.

I have seen the sunrise in the most beautiful places,
And I have seen it set in the saddest too.
What am I holding on to,
Could it be you?

If it is, I don’t know what for.
This mask is getting heavy.
The weight of all you left behind is dragging,
And I just want to let it go.

So press against the current,
as fast as you can.
The water is rising,
don’t drown in it all.

When the wave  comes crashing down,
And this water wipes away the crown.
that sat a top your guilty head,
You were never the king at all.

Will you repent
Will you say your prayers?
Will you admit theres something else,
Will you remain scared?
