After I'm Gone
Read these words
Read them well
In these words
I do tell
My legacy
Is scribed you'll see
When I die
What's left of me
Are words of feelings
Failings, pain
And triumphs rising
Smiles again
Hearts so touched
The touched returned
Loves forever
And bridges burned
When I drift off
In endless sleep
These words I've sowed
Are yours to reap
Sharing poems is very personal but I think often that it may be the only way to not disappear completely.
