Adulthood is like high school. Someone's always ready to find a way to take advantage of you. You have to work with or near people you don't like. You have a half hour for lunch. And forget everyone else. You're still trying to prove yourself to yourself. The difference is, in high school, kids don't have many opportunities to change. They don't have a reason to change. Therein lies the beauty of being all grown up. People can say you shouldn't do something. And they may not like it. But they will respect you enough to make your own decisions.
