Skies fall down slowly
As shadows lie beneath these
Most mountainous truths
Stretching out like outcrops down
In walking ways was our youth
Written from the perspective of a growing shadow. Creeping down from the mountains above without ever being noticed. Shadows do this nearly every day, just like the passage of time escapes us.
