Just Can't Let It
You took my heart.
When you left?
And it took months for it to mend.
And suddenly you returned.
Trying to disrupt my world.
But it will never, never happen.
I just can't let it.
Too much invested in my recovery to go down that road again.
Some lessons, we all must learn from.
You were the teacher and I was that student learning the trade of keeping hurt away.
But it will never, never happen.
I just can't let it.
Too much invested in my recovery.
