there’s ever been
a moment when
all seven billion hearts
beat in unison

i guess not

our boys wouldn’t
be afraid to cry
and
our girls wouldn’t
be afraid to try

we wouldn’t
be afraid
to let boys love boys
or let boys be girls

we’d all just be
seven billion
human hearts
