I love you
but you hate me
  no tango then
  what a pity!

If you love me
   I'll never hate you
   believe my words
   every word is true.

   Perhaps neither love
   nor hatred there is
   only our imagination
then nothing hurts or is amiss.

   But why should we
  not pretend we're in love?
  even if it is make-believe
a happy wonder it would serve!
