A winter Beach

I Went to the beach in winter
Clambered over the pebbles
Down to the sand
And it couldn’t wait to come up to meet me
It was rough and bounding
Like a big bouncy dog
I jumped up the side
Like a big floating log
Then the waves rolled back
And I just bolted up to the pebbles
To a safer retreat
Watching the sea and its beauty
Is a real treat
To me!
