I shiver and shake
Goosebumps
all over my
skin
My breathing
is laboured
I don't want to be here.

My fingernails
drag across
my arms
The skin
leaking
I don't want to be here.

I promised to
stick it out
but I knew
not of the
things I know now
I don't want to be here.

The lights are
too bright
the voices are
too loud
the air
too thick
I don't want to be here.

I told you
I warned you
If He doesn't do it
then I will
I don't want to be here.

And that is my final promise to you,
one that I intend to keep.
