hot black with not a star through the sooty night
turtle eggs left to hatch by the warmth of the sand, wriggle out gasping for air
I hear the owl hooting at a distance, boisterous sporadic, breaking the rhythms of the waves
undulating powerful, creeping steadily towards me

they roar my name

the rugged dark bark of the pines sways above my head as I lay down to rest my tired feet.

It's odd, for the first time in my life, I feel alone
just a crumpled pile of tattered jeans with a faded coat

suddenly, out of the sky, a magic silver orb arrives
Oh! she looks resplendent with no stars to ****** away her glory tonight

as the mother of the sky, she glows
she splashes her white-silver shine on me, bathes me, illuminates me
watches over me as I have come to visit her home

the waves the ocean the sand all belong to her tonight
she soothes the ripples of my heart

I am not alone. Not with her by my side.
