I keep hearing the same story.
And not only from you.
I hear how men have done you?
And some were truly cruel.

I keep hearing the same sadness.
From many women I knew.
Some were just pure jerks.
And some were very rude.
So very rude.

So it hard for me to crack this shell.
Around your precious heart.
So how can I begin to blame you?
For avoiding love.

Something so tender from God has been used to break your heart.

So give me just a little more time.
I will bring so much radiance to your eyes.
That you will be compared to the sunshine(in the day).
And closely to the moonglow(at night)

And that frown will begin to smile.
As you become the love of my life.
Yes, as you become the one called my wife.

Just give me just a little more time.
Yes, just give me just a little more time.
You are like a diamond that shines.
And cherish like a pearl that's rare.

And begin to believe in love again.
And see the good in this one man.
