There comes a moment in our lives
For however long, nothing comes to our minds
Often people sit in the silence staring at a wall
Others fill the void with meaningless distractions
No matter how hard you try, how well you plan, it will always be there
It doesn't take much to break a soul, full of wanderlust
A heartbreak, a fall, or maybe just existing as such
I wish I could tell you it goes away
Or there will come a time when you can look back
But I can't, it's just not true
The past will haunt you, the present: betray you, and the future: deceive you
All I can say is there is that of two choices
The only choice I ever made, Is why I am writing this today
So get up, cry, do whatever it takes, stand up, and live; not for me but for you
