it’s time
to prune the shrubby black forest
and brush those silky cobwebs
off that glossy pink camellia,
the king bee is lonely
circling shiny petals
yearning for a taste of sunny honey

only when the honey bee
plunges deep into
the crevices of this tender corolla
will that rosy flower blossom

in a quiet corner
a ‘graceful cat’ meows
