teeter totter
all night
I am awake
it is raining hard
trying to get through
my windows
I hear her voice
a scream from
the distant
calling calling
to me
her soul is aching
chasing salvation
but it is a rabbit
in an open field
more quick than fast
it teases her
into believing
she is eternal
I was the one
always on
the verge
of something
sitting on a
teeter totter
never scared
enough to run
never brave
enough to jump
never one to believe
never one to be trusted
