Waking up at 4 AM,
The time when everyone’s asleep,
When you can even hear the leaves of the trees whispering
And the stars are clear in the sky

You suddenly start feeling a pain so deep
But you can’t just sleep
And there’s no one around you
You feel lonely
You feel broken

Those same 4 AM’s when you went to sleep
And felt a love so deep
Talking to the one who started a fire within you
Laughing together too
Telling each other stories

Life was good
The night wasn’t as dark as it is now
The only stress back then was the battery of your phone
And the speed of the internet

It’s totally different now
I keep asking myself how

Your body is aching
Every breath that you’re taking
Gives birth to a pain so deep inside
But you can’t hide

You’re not comfortable in your own body
Feeling pain and more pain
Wondering when it’ll end

You cannot see the light
She’s not by your side

There’s something in your voice
Something broken,
That makes it sound like a noise

Your mind attacks you
With all the memories of your past
You’re getting crazy
Walking in your room
Wishing that you didn’t dive so deep

You just hope
That one day you’ll understand
Why you felt so much pain
Why it ended when it took so much to build

Why God separated you from someone
Destroying your expectations and hopes
Killing you every day
Little by little
