Although spring be flowering
My heart will still be wishing
For your smile blossoming
And lips made full for kissing

Distance can seem burdensome
Difficult and oft lonely
Makes me sometimes quarrelsome
Hard edged and sometimes stony

Love is o'er us towering
Eyes and soul are still aglow
Patience it is powering
In this soft hope-lit meadow
This poem is a "ae freislighe". An  Irish poem form
