I thought I loved you.
I really did.
But when the bittersweet smell of roses and sweat hit my nose,
I could only feel the thorns.

I thought I loved you.
I swear it's true.
But you came barreling into my life,
I just, took the bull by its horns.

I thought I loved you.
But my soul was tired.
And now my heart is broken,
because it lost your touch; it mourns.

I thought I loved you.
But I fell so in love with the idea of loving someone,
I forgot that you weren't even mine.
it's so funny that the one you love the most hurts you the most
