Again it slips away
The things you have never shared
And they led me astray
And still I need you there

I can't know the things you think
Even when you voice it out for me
And for the good ones I seek
Unable to see

And will you hold my hand tightly
And will you tell me "See what we share,
Vow that you won't fail me"
And still I need you there

Mother now, the girl isn't your flesh
But her heart is in your hands
Around her silhouette your gaze enmesh
Is the only thing that now can help her stand

Mother now, the girl isn't your blood
But she'd still run into your arms
In a river in which your words, they are a flood
She would dive to keep your love safe from harm

Again it slips away
The things you will never share
And all the feels we cannot say
I need them there

I can't guess the things you find
Even when your eyes, they show it all
Only the past inside our mind
It knows what we hold

I remember your voice singing
A name of yours, to us it belonged forever
And words you were feeling
And still I need you there

Mother now, the girl isn't your heart
But hear, hers beats the same
And against her breathing way too short
Is now burning another brand new flame

Mother now, the girl isn't your child
But she has faith in your saying
In a river in which your words, they become wild
She'd dive to show how tight's her believing

Mother now, you're too
With a daughter
Behind you

Mother now, your kid
Is a daughter
Of your seeds.
