and she lies
with her burgundy thoughts
an overpowering wine
sweet grape
tickling the throat
so raw from the gasping
as her head tilts back
farther and farther
a sip becomes a gulp
and a gulp becomes too much
as all through her mouth
in her skin
behind her eyes
she is consumed in wine
