You have to sleep despite the noise, despite
the ever-growing banter in the Hallway, the blaring
trumpets of Hate; you have to find joy in
your own company, since there is no more;
you have to grow indifferent to the words thrown
around you, they are phrased only in this stupor,
cold as it may be; you must hold back any thoughts
of leaving as it may further the harshness;
you have to be stronger than he is, not letting
it get to you, not letting your pain show; you must
create joy in her life, for she is the one who has the
power to save all of ours; you have to be ready
to pass judgement according to your
brain, your heart won’t do the trick; you must deal
with the consequences of the world you
grew up in shattering, it wasn’t your fault though;
you have to sleep despite the silence, despite
the tear in reality you caused.
