What if one day our dreams didn’t need us
and our words became one with the wind
and dancing like fireflies, they lit up the night
while we denied they’d be gone by the dawn

What if one day our memories died
and despite all our digging the dead don’t come back
and despite all our calling the ghosts simply faded
while we’re left wondering why they didn’t haunt us like the movies
