May 2018
the universe is so empty and cold
my mind can not wrap itself around it
though lonely, it’s vibrant and bold
is not knowing to our own benefit

for knowing can be the most dreadful curse
when is our knowledge finally enough
So where is my place in the universe
where are we in the mix of all this stuff

we can map stars and galaxies, so what
ha when did the universe start to care
the meaning of life is still not clear-cut
so maybe the universe is unfair

The universe will never know our lore
And will never know what we had in store
