May 2018
I got caught in the rain today
It didn’t pour
But just enough that everyone wanted to get out of its way
But not me
I didn’t run or flee
I walked as it painted the pavement grey
With each step
The water droplets latched themselves on my clothes and onto my hands
They laid down the hairs on my arms
And darkened my pants
And even though my clothes were starting to get soak
I still walked as it continued to rain
Because it’s the one few times
That I feel at peace
