Oh Summer,
Would that you would make me your bride,
For l'll come back to you endlessly,
Body and soul
Brimming to full
With the deepest parts of me
Both at peace and at play,
Consistently
Sun-kissed,
Wind-blown,
Soaked in halcyon brightness
To the bone,
This divine passion
Never fully served
By memory alone.
Oh Summer,
My truest love,
Would that with you I could stay,
For I hold you in heart year-long,
And pine all the while you're away.
