I retreat
allowing bones to rest on heat
asking them to do no work
shirk responsibilities....
Where are they now ?
Respond to body, just to me
stopping this insanity
not viewing life as one long test
of strength, endurance, be the best
resisting seeing me as wrong
which I have done all along
Give more, appease that judge within
who's never pleased, with focus grim
so now I stop and just receive
the love that's mine
no cause to grieve.
Title, idea and urge inspired by Victoria's poem, Retreat.
