I am a seamstress poet,
taking my needle-like pen
to thread words.

I do them with golden yarn,
stitching carefully for reader
to wear in their minds.

One stitch may be a quote.
Another a verse to encourage.
Yet another stitch could be a ditty
to bring laugher to surface.

Some stitches are laced
with darker thread
to integrate challenging textures
representing life.

Before long a garment
in shape of poem is done.

Done for eyes to take off
from hanger of prose.
One size fits all.
