Poems
Feb 2018
hungry
so loving,
so open,
your tender, patient smile
a gift, undeserving
to stay with me at night
so hungry
and battered,
more used than I’ll admit.
craving every offer
of your forgiving lips
my broken
mind clenches,
but drawn in, oh, so much
I sleep, now drifting,
below your gentle touch.
it's selfish
to take it
and let these dark wounds heal
I’m lost, forgotten
and what I have, I steal
condemned
god left me
to drift alone in shame
and you
sing whispers
so brave to speak my name
