"Sonnets From a Conversation With a Friend I"

You talk and talk and talk and often I
Do not understand on purpose, yet
You are my friend, and I am yours. To that
Vagrant swirling of chance that formed the why
Of our meeting, I am grateful. To my
Own, and your own, conscious willing effort,
I seek to impart strength through remembrance. What
Numbered hours of shared reverie we ply
The future with, are ours to choose. (Let us
Choose many my friend.) Alone, we wander
And wonder amid eternity as
Blind men groping, together, we garner
The will to see, and accept, realities.
Thus, with co-joined thoughts, we travel further.
