From a lovers embrace
Trembling in fear and fright
Concealed they protect their fragile emotions from the beating world
The soul will not bear another failed romance

Too afraid to seek touch and its demands
Shunning the living with teary eyes and shaking hands
Loneliness becoming destiny and inevitably fate
Love slowly slips beyond their feeble reach

If only the past was a dream that would die
Broken promises sleep night after night by their side
Stilling their lips
The cries cant be heard
As hate destroys their heart
Poisoning and stifling their words

So some people hide their love in the dark
From a lovers embrace
Trembling in fear and fright
TheyΒ choose to dispense with love
And the risk of chance
Concealed they protect their fragile emotions from the beating world
The soul will not bear another failed romance
